Royal Icing Flower Cake
To me, this cake deserves its own post. This is by far the best cake I've made and my absolute favorite!! I made all of the flowers on the cake!
First Cakes
This is the first cake I ever made last summer! Just really simple borders and outlines!
This was a pattern transfer cake I made last summer. Nice and bright for summer! (Second cake!)
The top cake I made for a friend's birthday, as you can tell he is a firefighter. The blue volleyball cake I made was for another friend who played on the high school volleyball team. I made both of these a about a month into learning to make cakes, so I was pretty stuck on pattern transfers! (Actually, almost all of the cakes I post pics of from the past year are pattern transfers. This year I'll learn new techniques to get past this stage!!)

I made this cake for a party when I had family visiting...my little cousins enjoyed the cake the most..can you tell???

Two birthday cakes I made! The Thomas cake was for my little cousin...(the one in the blue shirt enjoying the icing on the rose cake..lol)
Made this cake for a good friend at church. Writing on cakes is my biggest challenge!

Hey! My name is Liz, and I'm a college student! I became obsessed with Cake Boss about a year and a half ago which inspired me to take some cake decorating classes. I took two classes last summer and am taking classes all of this summer! I'm TOTALLY a beginner, but I'm loving every minute of learning how to decorate cakes. I love the instructor of the classes I'm taking-she's such an inspiration!! It's obvious that most of my cakes are beginner cakes, but I'm working at it, and I hope to be able to post a few good cake pics up here this coming summer!! Thanks for looking at my pictures!!
